Parent engagement is a crucial piece to Lafayette's success. Lafayette embraces parents as integral components to their child's success and expect for parents to be active.
The Parent Booster Club seeks to get parents involved in a variety of avenues:
Mandatory 10 hours to volunteer each year, become a school VIP and participate in various schoolwide activities. The schools actively seeks the voice of parents in the school and wants them to be a part of the decision making process that further supports all of stakeholder working collaboratively for student achievement. Parents are encouraged to participate and become leaders in the School Site Council (SSC), English Language Advisory Council (ELAC), and Superintendent's Forum.
Lafayette host a variety of school wide events that support parent active engagement:

10. Fall and Spring Fundraiser
Parents are able to stay abreast of the school's events and student success through the weekly Roar Report, Lafayette Title I Newsletter, Teleprompt, School Website or simply a phone call.
As a PLC, parents as "learners" are key to better support student success. Parent workshops by grade level and schoolwide are offered that enable parents to know and become skilled at how they can help at home to further support their child’s success.
